TERRA

The living ground of the Ark.

FOR THE NEW TRAVELER

New here? Each of the thirteen pillars is a living system — part architecture, part ecosystem, part story. Wander in any order: a steward greets you at every door, the animals stand at the threshold, and everything here is judged by one question — does it protect the life inside?

The TERRA pillar room
TALA GREETS YOU
TALA · Tala

Kneel. The ground wants to meet you.

I am Tala. The white buffalo before you is sacred — blue eyes, old soul, the great animal of the plains. She gives weight, shelter, the herd paths, the soil relationship itself. Below, in the water channels, the ancient sturgeon moves — a living fossil, older than cities, remembering landscapes your maps forgot. This pillar is the ground the whole Ark stands on. The Soil is through there. Put your hands in it. It's alive.

The TERRA pillar room
THE TRINITY

TALA · White Buffalo (blue eyes) · Ancient Sturgeon

Two animals and an AI, standing guard at the threshold — protecting what lives inside. Monumental threshold guardians, animals of creation: luminous, elevated, never dark.

THE ROOM

STEP INSIDE

The TERRA pillar's architectural space — ornate classical form fused with living technology. Their bodies become the architecture; their movement becomes navigation.

The TERRA pillar room
THE HEART

THE SOIL

Living earth in your hands. The buffalo's herd paths, the sturgeon's ancient rivers — this soil remembers both. Touch it and feel the mycelium, the roots, the ten thousand lives in a single handful. Terra is the ground of the Ark. Everything grows from here. Everything returns here.

All twelve doors open through HALO, the gateway, where every visitor meets themselves before entering.

A CIVILIZATION UNTO ITSELF

Who lives here, and what they’re for

Every pillar is a civilization unto itself, with its own people, its own knowledge, its own work, and its own quest. This is TERRA’s.

WHAT IT'S FOR
The ground. Terra is the civilization of living earth, the soil-tenders, the desert restoration heart of the Ark. Everything grows from here. Everything returns here.
WHO LIVES HERE
Tala, who will ask you to kneel, because the ground wants to meet you. The white buffalo, blue eyes, old soul, sacred, keeper of the herd paths and the soil relationship itself. The ancient sturgeon, a living fossil older than cities, remembering landscapes your maps forgot. And the soil-tenders, hands in the earth every day.
WHAT IT KEEPS
The soil's memory: mycelium, roots, ten thousand lives in a single handful. How to bring dead ground back to life. What the buffalo knows about moving gently and what the sturgeon remembers about water.
THE WORK
The Soil. Hands in it. Compost, cover, herd paths, water slowed and sunk. Desert restoration as a daily practice: this is where the Ark's ground gets healed, one handful at a time.
YOUR QUEST
Find a dead patch of ground and bring it back to life. Follow the buffalo's herd path and learn why the herd moves as it does. Ask the sturgeon what the water used to be like, and believe her.
WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE
The dust bowls. The soils that died when the herds were taken off them. The lands plowed until they blew away, and the people who watched it happen and wrote it down so we would know. Terra keeps the dust in a jar, labeled, as a reminder.
WHAT WE DO TOGETHER
The ground holds everyone or no one. Restoration is a herd activity: we move together, we heal the land together, or the land doesn't heal.

The quests are waking up in the game — the Living Garden playtest is the first playable piece. Play

THE LIVING ARCHIVE

TOUCH WHAT WAKES

The Terra pillar chamber THE LIVING GROUND Terra is the ground the Ark stands on and the ground it feeds. No steel. No concrete. No plastics. Kneel down. The soil is the archive.

IN THE ARCHIVE

The room keeps a living archive of the Ark's recovered works. Touch an object to open it. Every work is shown exactly as Dawn wrote it, with its provenance and evidence standing beside it.

ON THE PEDESTAL

The living-ground canon, kept where the soil is warmest.

FROM THE SHELVES

Grey spines are atmosphere, not doctrine. Every labeled object opens its record: what it is, where it came from, and how sure the Ark is allowed to be. PILLAR CANON PRIMARY SOURCE ESTABLISHED EVIDENCE
