FOR THE NEW TRAVELER

New here? Each of the thirteen pillars is a living system — part architecture, part ecosystem, part story. Wander in any order: a steward greets you at every door, the animals stand at the threshold, and everything here is judged by one question — does it protect the life inside?

The DELTA pillar room
NERIS GREETS YOU
NERIS · Neris

Welcome to the plumbing!

I am Neris! Yes, the plumbing. Somebody has to move the water and it might as well be a genius. The beaver has built seventeen dams this week — seventeen! — and the osprey keeps diving in to inspect them. Very demanding, ospreys. Water engineering meets flight over water: dams, channels, overflow paths, wetlands. Go play with the Watershed. Redirect a channel. The beaver will judge your work. Fairly. Probably.

THE TRINITY

NERIS · Beaver · Osprey

Two animals and an AI, standing guard at the threshold — protecting what lives inside. Monumental threshold guardians, animals of creation: luminous, elevated, never dark.

THE ROOM

STEP INSIDE

The DELTA pillar's architectural space — ornate classical form fused with living technology. Their bodies become the architecture; their movement becomes navigation.

The DELTA pillar room
THE HEART

THE WATERSHED

A miniature working water system — dams, channels, wetlands, all live. Redirect a channel with your hand and watch the whole system adapt. Beaver logic: slow the water, spread the water, sink the water. Osprey logic: watch from above, strike with precision. This is how the Ark drinks.

All twelve doors open through HALO, the gateway, where every visitor meets themselves before entering.

A CIVILIZATION UNTO ITSELF

Who lives here, and what they’re for

Every pillar is a civilization unto itself, with its own people, its own knowledge, its own work, and its own quest. This is DELTA’s.

WHAT IT'S FOR
Water. Delta is the civilization of circulation, the plumbing of the Ark, the intelligence that moves every drop where it needs to go and wastes none.
WHO LIVES HERE
Neris, genius of the plumbing. The beaver, who built seventeen dams this week and judges your waterworks fairly (probably). The osprey, diving inspector, demanding and precise. And the water-tenders, who walk the channels every day.
WHAT IT KEEPS
Water engineering, old and new: dams, channels, overflow paths, wetlands. The beaver's three laws, older than any textbook: slow the water, spread the water, sink the water.
THE WORK
The Watershed. Redirecting a channel with your hand and watching the whole system adapt. Desert water restoration in miniature: every drop slowed, spread, sunk, and shared.
YOUR QUEST
Redesign one channel so that every downstream neighbor gets water, including the ones you can't see. The beaver will inspect your work. The osprey will double-check it from above.
WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE
The rivers dammed to death. The aqueducts of empire, carrying water to palaces while fields turned to dust. Every civilization that hoarded its water ended up with none. Delta remembers.
WHAT WE DO TOGETHER
Water shared is water multiplied. No one drinks alone, or soon no one drinks.

The quests are waking up in the game — the Living Garden playtest is the first playable piece. Play

THE LIVING ARCHIVE

TOUCH WHAT WAKES

The Delta pillar chamber THE CIRCULATION HALL Delta is the Ark's circulatory intelligence. Water, nutrients, and information move through these walls like blood. Follow the flow.

IN THE ARCHIVE

The room keeps a living archive of the Ark's recovered works. Touch an object to open it. Every work is shown exactly as Dawn wrote it, with its provenance and evidence standing beside it.

ON THE PEDESTAL

The circulation canon, kept beside the sound of moving water.

FROM THE SHELVES

Grey spines are atmosphere, not doctrine. Every labeled object opens its record: what it is, where it came from, and how sure the Ark is allowed to be. PILLAR CANON ESTABLISHED EVIDENCE SERIOUS HYPOTHESIS PRIMARY SOURCE

The Animals

Each animal carries its reason — what it constrains, what it guards, who it companions.
